I have an issue with BLE-Mesh, wherein If I provision a device and then flash the board with a new image (I do not erase and flash), the device name & provisioning details is retained as was with old image.
This is what we call Task Bindings. Simply right click on the Task in VSC and open the Tasks file or Bind a Task to Action, which allows you to select between multiple of predefined tasks, as well as whatever you place in a a .vscode/tasks.json. This way you can override the default build behavior which is essentially just "west build", with whatever you want. You might have a chain of tasks you want to execute, or you might want to run softreset after flashing (which is a use-case multiple other customers have).

This tasks file is something you can also have in your VSC workspace, and share with coworkers making a standard build operation for everyone. It should be powerful enough for you to do virtually anything you'd need.

Regards,

Yeah, I believe nrfjprog might leave the settings partition, though I am not completely sure about this.
Can you suggest me how I can portray device name as in new image..? without erase flashing..?
Could you expand on what your use-case is? You could for instance change what nrfjprog is doing behind the scenes when using the multiple Actions is VSC.

Please also note that we are in the holiday period, so getting a response on DevZone might take longer than usual.
