Yes, this will be updated. We've brought this up to the Matter developers and tech writers and the tutorial will be updated to acommodate the change in MatterPostAttributeChangeCallback

Oh hey, that worked! Thank you very much Charlie for reaching out! "uint8_t mask" was provided in the example given in the walkthrough, so I didn't think it could be that! I'm getting whole numbers populated in the measured values now (this seems like the correct output we should be getting)! Hi,

Please try to delete "uint8_t mask," in the function MatterPostAttributeChangeCallback. This argument should not be included.

Thank you for sharing. We're still lagging behind on possibility to recreate the sample due to some internal delay... I will ask around if any of my colleagues have the oportunity to handle the case for me while I'm OoO until next week. If not, then we will unfortunately have to wait for a hardware solution..

I was looking through my code in this repo: https://github.com/justanotherkendrik/matter-sensor-example (I created a public repo here to hopefully make it easier to work with), and I do not see anything of that sort... Could making changes in `template.zap` cause this issue though?

Hi,

We're still working on your case, but its taking a bit longer than expected to test and reproduce the sample. So just to keep the ball rolling on your end in the meanwhile, have you had any more luck in progressing the development?

How do you set the temperature? Do you at any time call something like zapsomething_update_cluster(&tmp)? If you don't set the temperature at any point there shouldn't be any reason for you to not get the value 0 when you try to read the temperature value

Did you manage to complete the entire guide? I'm assuming yes as you're sending the commands written in the last few steps of the guide

Side note: Where should I start looking if I would like to send commands remotely and not directly connected to a Wifi router? I have tried looking at this tutorial: openthread.io/.../openthread-border-router-nat64 but it does not seem to address my concerns about connecting to a Matter device! I think pointing me towards the right tutorial would be sufficient! Let me know if I should open another ticket for this!

Hi,

I've had a look at your case and I think I need some more information to be able to isolate the issue. It seems to me that you're following the guide correctly based on your description of how you've done it, but just to be sure: did you activate the sensor by sending a On command?

In addition, could you supply us a log that shows all of the chip-tool commands you send and the logs following for us to have a look at?
