Yes that was it. I was able to overwrite

zb_osif_get_fw_version

in order to set the firmware version.

Ah I see. Have you had a look at NCP_FW_VERSION? I am not sure, but that might be what you're looking for.

Either way, its good to set the fw version.

Where do I set the firmware version?

The get version command is from the ZBOSS NCP Protocol description document.

I wrote my own NCP client based on that document.

Yes, I believe you should. That way, the versioning is in order if you were to update the fw using eg. MCUBoot.

Could you expand a bit on how you are getting the version though? What version command are you using?
