&lt;p&gt;SES defaults to using &amp;#39;sector erase&amp;#39; which means it will only erase overlapping sections. Thus, data placed outside of the FW image&amp;#39;s address range will not become erased. If you want your FLASH to be fully erased prior to programming, you can select the &amp;quot;Erase All&amp;quot; option as shown in the screenshot below.&lt;/p&gt;
