What I really meant was to check the bluetooth listing;

https://launchstudio.bluetooth.com/Listings/Search

From there you can check if the device is registered with coded_phy support.

They either don't answer or you end up dealing with a 1st line support person who doesn't understand the question. Nokia basically told me that I should only be running apps that they ship with the device. Even if the tablet says that it does extended and coded (yeses in RF Connect for Mobile) the reality may be that it doesn't do it very well. The Samsung A7 Lite only picks up a coded message every few seconds.

I have bought and returned two tablets in the last few weeks.

I have seen that ticket and another similar one. As you say, they are dated and, in any case, I don't want a 'phone. Ideally I want a 7 or 8" tablet.

I think that I am going to end up using an old netbook running Linux with an nRF52840 in a USB port.

RE: Tablet for receiving BT5 LR coded

Hi.

Maybe you will receive some input on other customers and their experience with different tablets.

I don't really have a suggestion for you other than that you could check the bluetooth listing for the different tablets to see which BT5 features they support.

Also there is a previous ticket listing some of the phones/tablets with long range support. Note that it is a little outdated.
RE: Is there any smartphone with supporting of Bluetooth 5 Long Range feature?
