&lt;p&gt;The nRF5340 definitely has a built in 2.4 GHz radio with BLE support, all our nRF devices do.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yes, you will need an external antenna, which is usually either a PCB antenna (a trace in the PCB), or a chip antenna. You&amp;#39;ll also need some external components for the antenna&amp;#39;s so called &amp;quot;matching circuit&amp;quot;.
