Disregard, I was missing the nordic,pm-ext-flash bit. Seems to be working now, thanks!

I feel like I must be missing something obvious, but I can't set CONFIG_PM_PARTITION_REGION_LITTLEFS_EXTERNAL=y. The dependency appears to be broken or something, showing:

Direct Dependencies: (=n)
n

I am able to set the size successfully.

I belive this should work if you also set CONFIG_PM_EXTERNAL_FLASH_MCUBOOT_SECONDARY=n.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Similar to the referenced post I want to leave the MCUBoot images and settings on internal flash. I want to dedicate the external flash to storing user data. Unfortunately I’m away from my computer at the moment but I’ll try to look more closely at the config items you sent.

Hello,

You can use the CONFIG_PM_PARTITION_REGION_LITTLEFS_EXTERNAL symbol to tell the partition manager to place your littlefs partition in external flash. There is also the CONFIG_PM_PARTITION_SIZE_LITTLEFS symbol which lets you adjust the size of the partition. This does not require a static partition file.

Here is the memory layout I got when I tested this with a project built for the nrf52840dk_nrf52840 board.
