According to most resources online (namely, https://github.com/hellesvik-nordic/samples_for_nrf_connect_sdk/tree/main/bootloader_samples

RE: nRF5340 OTA DFU of network core only

Hi,

According to the author of the repo, the nonsimultanous DFU sample for the nRF5340 should work right out of the box with one image at the time. But do note that this comes with a very important disclaimer that you must never update the interface between the net- and app-core as this will brick the nRF when doing it this way.

From the repo:

However, if you update the interface between the net and app cores, you must update them at the same time. If not, you will not be able to update the second core after the first one has been updated.

Let me know if this answers your questions or not!

Kind regards,
Andreas
