By default the serial is enable in the network bootloader. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Both bootloader and app dts file are exactly the same except for code partition.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I edit directly the nrf5340dk dts file wich is comon for the app and the boot so&amp;nbsp;in my understanding the bootloader shoud not overwrite the app configuration like in the ticket.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But I also tryed with overlay file and got the same result.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Can you compare your build/zephyr/zephyr.dts andbuild/mcuboot/zephyr/zephyr.dts to verify if they are the same?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It looks like you could have a similar issue as this ticket&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/52958/nrf9160-power-consumption-1-400ua-higher-with-mcuboot-enabled"&gt;NRF9160 power consumption 1,400uA higher with MCUBOOT enabled&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
