You can use any terminal you'd like to send AT commands.

For other ports to be detected in LTE Link Monitor, you have to ensure that the "Show only supported devices" is left unchecked:

Then it should appear in the list:

yes it is usb poart .

In this screenshot you have seen usb0 port in arduino. but its not showing in lte_link_monitor

in my device that usb is going to act like a uart0

What do you mean specifically with "device port" ? Do you mean the USB-uart adapter?

If yes; this is a external component and should not have any effect on the nRF9160 at all.

Can you share screenshots or logs of what your issue is?

to see logs first it have to show the device port but its not showing port in lte_link_monitor.

but when use mwf_nrf9160_1.3.2 it showng device port But when i use mwf_nrf9160_1.3.4 its not even showing the device port.

at_client shall work with both of these mfw versions.

Can you share any logs or similar? Have you tried reprogramming the device in-question?

using uart0 port and TX & RX pins are connected to FTDI.

Through USB cable we are connecting FTDI to my cumputer.

In one device as you said we upgrade firmware mwf_pti_nrf9160_1.1.5 to mwf_nrf9160_1.3.4 after that usb port was not detected in link_monitor. we dont no why but usb port show in other serial monitor application like(ardunio,tera term).

we have another device which have mwf_nrf9160_1.3.2 in that device usb port showing in link_monitor our both devices have same design.

Below mwf_nrf9160_1.3.2 version showing in link_monitor why mwf_nrf9160_1.3.4 version device not showing in link_mother?

How do you configure the UART ports in your project? How do you connect to your device from the computer? What happens if you use mfw_nrf9160_1.3.2, same as the other device?

Thanks, Now its working fine after modem upgrade.

But after upgrade to (mfw_nrf9160_1.3.4) device UART port is not showing in LTE_LINK_MONITOR application

before it was showing may i not why its not showing now? but port showing in other serial monitor application.

Ok, thanks for confirming that your device has PTI image. You can use nRF Connect for Desktop and the Programmer to program the wanted modem FW from the nRF9160 download page.

The device which have NORDIC symbol has (mfw_nrf9160_1.3.2) version and another one which have UK sumbol have (mwf_pti_nrf9160_1.1.5) version.

Thanks for sharing!

nRF9160's hardware version B1A is preprogrammed with the Production Test Image (PTI) modem firmware. PTI supports a subset of AT commands for testing in non-signaling mode. The modem firmware needs to be updated for signaling mode testing and end customer use.

For more information, see Production test features in nRF91 AT Commands Reference Guide.

Please update the modem FW and let me know if that helps.

Please look into the below image. In that which have Nordic symbol that device is working fine when in send AT commands but another one is giving always Error response when in send AT commands, and here both board designs are same.

please check why another nrf9160 chip not giving OK response

have you had a design review of your custom design? What revisions of the nRF9160 are you using on your boards, from the image it is difficult to read anything.
