I'm only interested in serial via USB, and I've found that using WebSerial (as opposed to WebUSB) I'm able to connect to that demo without a driver install.

Because of that I would suggest to others that they go via WebSerial instead of WebUSB.

Hi Doug,

I tested the WebUSB sample, and the page did not show any devices initially for me either. I had to install a WinUSB driver (on Windows 10). I recommend using Zadig to install it, which is what I did. Since I had the WebUSB device already connected to the computer, Zadig recognized the device and automatically found which driver to install:

After installing, the device showed up and I could connect to it:

Ah yes you're right, I got confused by the naming. The adafruit_feather_nrf52840 does build, but it doesn't seem to work on my machine.

I'm using the demo link provided in the example: https://finikorg.github.io/webusb-sample/

The page doesn't seem to know there is a webusb device plugged in.

Device manager shows it, but it has a yellow alert icon next to it.

I tried updating the driver but not change happened.

Any thoughts on what I need to do to get this to work?

I'm on a Windows 11 computer.

Hi,

Do you mean the adafruit_feather_nrf52840 instead of nrf52_adafruit_feather? The adafruit_feather_nrf52840 has an nRF52840, and the webusb sample builds successfully for this board.

It actually has an nRF52840, which has USB support. Please have a second look.

Hi Doug,

The nrf52_adafruit_feather board has an nRF52832, which does not support USB. I recommend using an nRF with USB support to build and program the webusb sample.
