I see from your west update command that you have some corruptions in the files. I suggest you try to remove everything, and download it once more. Uninstall the NCS version from nRF Connect for Desktop -> Toolchain manager, and then delete all the NCS folders. Then try to install it from scratch. You can use west update again when it is done, and see if it runs without any errors.

That is ok. That is not part of the nRF Connect SDK.

I was able to compile the blinky project that you sent using NCS v2.2.0 for the board nrf52833dk_nrf52833.

Can you show me what it looks like when you generate the build configuration in vs code? (try deleting both your build folders and generate it again.

And if you go to "Open welcome page" -> "Quick Setup"

What does it say under "nRF Connect SDK" and "nRF Connect Toolchain"?

Can you please try to open a command prompt from nRF Connect for Desktop -> Toolchain Manager -> the arrow next to your version. Then navigate to the ncs\v2.2.0\nrf folder, and try the command "west update". What does it say?

Just drag and drop it into where you are typing the text. Screenshots can also be copy pasted into here.

Can you please let me know what it looks like if you open a folder in your SDK folder. Is it something like this?

Or does it contain less folders?

Hi Edvin thanks for the reply.

I'm just trying to build the "Blinky" sample on the nrf52833dk_nrf52833 board, just like what is recommended on the dev academy. I don't physically have the boar yet, but I'd like to familiarize myself with the sofware to begin with.

I've updated SDK with the toolchain manager as requested.

I'm trying to build from Visual Code Studio, with the nFR Connect extension, just like on the tutorial on the dev academy.

The error is still persistent, I must add. I can't figure out how to upload the zip file, need help with that too I guess

Hello,

It is not clear to me what sample you are trying to build, and what board you are trying to build it for.

Did you install NCS from nRF Connect for Desktop -> Toolchain Manager? If so, can you press the down arrow on the version that you selected and press "update SDK"

This will just check that all files are downloaded correctly from github.

Where are you trying to build from? Are you using the command line? If so, did you load the tools? How? (If you haven't tried it, try selecting "open command prompt" from the screenshot above.

If none of those works, can you please try to zip and upload the sample you are trying to build here?
