Could you also open the Power profiler software, press ctrl+shift+i and then select the PPK2?

You should get an output similar to the following:

Have you tried to use any other applications with the PPK2? like a python script or so?

they both seem to be the same revision (1.0.1 2022.30). I'm also quite sure it used to work in the past (but who knows...). So I assume (as you don't know that kind of failure) it's a hardware fault in the analog frontend which does the ranging...

That looks strange. Since you say you have another "working" PPK2, is there any hardware or connection different between these two PPK2s?

What is the revision of the PPK2?

Hi,

Thank you for explaining the issue. Could you try setting the PPK2 in bootloader mode and then you will get an option to flash the firmware onto it once again.

Please follow the steps mentioned in this ticket for doing this, and let me know how it goes. 🙂

Thanks for replying. Sorry I don't want to be rude but I know how to use the PPK and I was the impression my question clearly states the problem. What I didn't mention, I use ampere meter mode. The problem is, the device shows a current of about 100mA if a load is connected (of which I know it does not draw that much) or if no load is connected. If you take a 'working' PPK II, put it in ampere meter mode, with or without load it displays a realistic value (in my case 0.2uA without load, actual values with load).

For me it seems the PPK II has lost some calibration value (if the is possible) or is always measuring in a wrong range or the analog frontend has a defect... if it's 'just' a software problem, it should be fixable...

Hi,

Please refer to the guide in Infocenter on how to measure using the PPK2. You should connect just VOUT, when measuring in Sourcemeter mode and both VOUT and VIN when in amperemeter mode. Connecting the VIN alone will not help. Below are the mentioned links:
