No I cannot. Checking if my python install is corrupt. Can I use 3.9?

I installed python 3.11 and that solved the problem. My 3.9 must have been sick.

I just installed Wireshark 4.0.4. There is no globals extcap folder

There is only an 'extcap' and 'profiles' directory and then a short list of files.

Both directories are empty until I added the nrf stuff in extcap

The nRF files are also installed here

E:\Wireshark\extcap

where wireshark is installed

It is referred to as 'external capture plugin' in the documentation. Anyway, it is strange that the toolbar option does not show if the files have been copied to the folder you mentioned. Could you try to copy the files to the Global extcap folder instead?

You may also want to check if there are any errors reported in the logs here: %APPDATA%/Nordic Nordic Semiconductor/Sniffer/logs

The files in that directory are called a plugin?

Hi,

This indicates that Wireshark did not find nRF Sniffer plug-in. What folder did you copy the plugin files to?
