Hello Susheel. Thanks for your insight. For now we have decided to move on since this is an isolated incident. If it pops up again I'll return to this thread.

When you halt the debugger, it should be possible to see in the "Disassembly Window" the address of the current instruction being processed. Can you take a note of that address and see if this is in the application address scope or the softdevice address?

I believe it would be looping in the softdevice but I am not sure.

What happens is it will run up until it initializes the BLE stack, then the debugger will reach a point and pause. When I hit start execution again nothing happens and when I hit pause again it doesn't take me to the point in the program where it is executing.

I'm fairly sure that when it has a hardfault issue it directs me to an assert.

Can you give me more details on what you mean by hang? Does it mean that it loops inside softdevice or does it cause a hardfault?

Looping inside the softdevice seems to be issue starting the crystal clocks.

If it is a hardfault issue, then please give more details about your hardfault so that we can try to debug it.
