For nrf5340 audio project, the controller in the network core does not communicate with FEM through SPI but using GPIO.

The code in ble_core.c on line 133 says it differently:

Documentation specifies that both GPIO mode and SPI/GPIO mode are supported.

Thank you for this information! As I understand, only the nRF21540 GPIO mode is supported, GPIO+SPI mode not.

Does Nordic have plans to release the LE Audio controller as library, as it is done with the standard Nordic controller? It would ease the adaption to custom boards and adding extension tremendously.

Hi,

You should be able to change the pins in the overlay file nrf21540_ek_fwd.overlay. You can have a look at the relevant part in ble_core.c. Adding FEM support is described in the documentation.
