I am using the instructions for setting up the sniffer provided here: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fug_sniffer_ble%2FUG%2Fsniffer_ble

RE: BLE Sniffer Firmware on NRF52840DK

Hi,

Can you try reprogramming the interface MCU? You can download the firmware from https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/nRF52840-DK/Download under "Interface MCU Firmware". Make sure to download the J-LINK version.

To put the interface MCU into bootloader mode, press and hold the reset button while turning on the DK until LED5 blinks. The device should show up as a directory named BOOTLOADER in your filesystem:

Drag and drop the interface MCU firmware you downloaded earlier into BOOTLOADER. The device should disconnect automatically when it is done. Power cycle the device, and it should be back to normal again.

Best regards,
Marte

RE: BLE Sniffer Firmware on NRF52840DK

Hi, I remember a similar ticket about this issue:

RE: In wireshark I'm not able to see the interface of Nrf52840DK

In that discussion, this was mentioned:

------------------

Hello,

Yes there is known issue with nRF52840DK rev3.0.0 and nRF sniffer firmware, the issue seems to be in UART connection. So as a workaround try to connect your other USB port (nRF USB) in DK to the PC. Now flash the nRF sniffer firmware via the programmer app (Erase and write). Please let me know the update.

----------------

Maybe that discussion may help you.
