I am basing a project off of the NORA-B1 EVK device tree and I think I am getting some conflicts with pin assignments. As some background, I am using SPI4 successfully on some other pins. So I copied these settings over to another file and made

RE: SPI clock and MOSI not working

Okay, please let me know when you'll do the tests.

To answer your questions:

1) This is a custom board now, so I can't use the SW2. But my GPIOs are routed directly to an EEPROM chip, so there shouldn't be any interference there.

2) NCS version is 2.0.2

3) I am using SPI4 to talk to a set of three SPI-UART bridge ICs. These are working utilizing three separate chip select lines as assigned in the overlay. I can temporarily switch SPI4 over to these pins to see if that works. It is a good suggestion, thanks.

4) I didn't test out SPI1 previously on the dev kit, so I didn't have any particular pins assigned.

5) The bias-pull-up was just an experiment to see if this fixed the issue. I will remove that as I don't think it is necessary, I just wanted to see what would happen.

6) As I stated above, it is a custom board, but I still have the EVK so maybe I will go back to that and try it out.

Thank you, Jamie

RE: SPI clock and MOSI not working

Hmm, I did not see anything particularly obvious in there.

In the EVK-NORA-B1 User guide, page 11 I have found the following:

VCOM Port functions connected to the NORA-B1 module can be disabled through SW2 to allow use of the GPIO pin for an application function.

Could you take a look at that?

And if it does not help, a few questions:

What is your NCS version?

Are you using SPI4 for something else? Could you maybe test if SPI4 works properly with the same pins?

Which pins did you use before?

What is the reason for using bias-pull-up with the SPI pins?

Are you using the NORA-B1 EVK device, or is it some custom device based on that module?

Best regards,
