Can you please try to fully remove the nRF Connect for Desktop and reinstall without the device connected?&lt;br /&gt;Edit:&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;The official answer from our developers is:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;close nRF Connect for Desktop (all instances)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;open task manager, go to processes or details tab, find all jlinkarm_nrf_worker.exe running and stop processes&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;uninstall nRF Connect for Desktop&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;install latest build from &lt;a title="https://www.nordicsemi.com/products/development-tools/nrf-connect-for-desktop/download#infotabs" href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Connect-for-Desktop/Download#infotabs" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Connect-for-Desktop/Download#infotabs&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
