No, you will/should receive an error if you try that. From CFUN Set AT command reference guide docs:

The response for CFUN=40 is ERROR if the modem has been activated with CFUN=1 or CFUN=21.

That seems like a combination CFUN=1 followed by CFUN=40 after some time isn't that useful (I've seen that in this forum)?

Is it possible to switch the UICC off (CFUN=40) and on (CFUN=41) again in CFUN=1?

Hi,

The following commands is meant to control UICC only, a method of communicating with the SIM card without activating the rest of the modem.

41 – Activates UICC

40 – Deactivates UICC.

These are often used in conjuntion with UICC access commands.
