&lt;p&gt;In my experience (Germany), the PSM parameters granted by the MNO are very different for LTE-M and NB-IoT.&amp;nbsp; For LTE-M PTAU larger than 3600s are rare, while for NB-IoT it mostly works to have larger times. The consequence is, that devices which are intended to send data less frequent than an hour, are forced to wakeup anyway. My experience with the granted PSM parameters may be different in other regions or may change over the time.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But at least I would check that PSM parameter before choosing LTE-M (or NB-IoT).&lt;/p&gt;
