After entering the hcitool lescan, an error says&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Set scan parameters failed: File descriptor in bad state&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And then that’s it. Do you have any idea why?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have nrf51 DK, Bluetooth 4 dongle CSR8510 A10 and nrf51 iot sdk. Thanks&lt;/p&gt;

Is it possible for you to share how I should setup Ubuntu kernel to be able to connect to 6lowpan ? I want to use my laptop&amp;#39;s ble device to connect to the nrf51 kit&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;update: I followed &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/question/23210/iot-dev-kit-list-of-linux-kernel-modules-and-binaries/"&gt;this&lt;/a&gt; and I could ping from a linux laptop! I didn&amp;#39;t even need a BLE dongle, the inbuilt bluetooth device should work&lt;/p&gt;
