In 2014 I've developed a Bluetooth Smart apps couple to transmit and receive a GPS location and speed with this nice technology.
The apps are called LE GPS (transmitter, peripheral role) and LE GPS Rec (receiver, central rol

RE: Playing with GPS over Bluetooth Smart with nRF51822

Hi,

If anyone is still looking to implement the software to go on nRF51/52 devices that gets the location through the LNS service (e.g. using the LE GPS app), you can use the code i wrote:

Yes of course, you can do it with nRF51422, the firmware provided on my website is also compatible.

I go for a nRF51822 because I only need the Bluetooth smart feature. Ant is not what I'm looking for and the 422 provides Ant / Bluetooth. And the RedbearLab Nano board was really easy to use for simple test.

Is it possible to achieve what you have done on nRF51422?

If nRF51422 can do it too, why go for nRF51822?

Best Regards
Victor
