Summary for those who don't want to download a PDF: The -40 gains:

• 802.15.4
• 256kB RAM instead of 64
• 1MB Flash instead of 512kB
• On-chip PA
• ARM CryptoCell
• QSPI
• USB

It loses reference designs for PC Desktop, Smart Remote, and Smartphone Demo Apps, and a WLCSP option.

This is sufficient, but you still say S/PDIF in nRF52xxx. I suppose this is still not true.
