NFR24L01+ Range with external SMA Antenna

Hi!

Does someone tested the range of newer NFR24L01+ module with external SMA Antenna? Any result?

As we are looking for a module with a range of ~1000m line of sight and ~500m including few buildings or walls on the way.

A typical range with nRF25L01+ when using 250 kbps bitrate is 150 - 200m. For higher bitrates, 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps, the range will be shorter.

Thanks. Is that with a range of sight? Or including densely populated area? With or without PA+LNA circuit?

1) A range of 150-200 m is not necessarily completely line-of-sight, but in a quite open area. In a densely populated area the range will be shorter due to more obstacles.

2) For each 6 dB that the output power is increased, the range doubles.
