Operate nRF24L01 below 2400mhz?

We are working on a project that will operate in the MBAN frequency range of 2360-2390mhz. One of our current products utilizes the nRF24L chip, and we were interested in operating (even at reduced efficiency) our current hardware in that range for a short time for evaluation purposes. Any thoughts on how this might be accomplished?

  • This is out of spec as you probably know, so I'm afraid there isn't any register settings you can change to obtain this (As can be done on the nRF5x series). This means you would have to use a crystal frequenzy of about 15,73 MHz to get the correct frequenzy range (Very hard to find a crystal, but might be possible using an external frequenzy generator). But please note that the PLL might have problems looking at the lowest frequency.
