Do you mean Arduino or AVR?
What processor(s) it runs on is a key, fundamental aspect of any library.
Therefore, if you find any library where this is not clearly stated - that library is probably best avoided!!

The only semi official nRF24L01 drivers are those included in the nAN24-12 appnote.
They provide C functions for setting the various config parameters in the nRF24L01, as well as sending/receiving packets.
Since they are not written for a specific MCU you have to implement the hardware parts yourself, such as functions for setting/clearing pins, using SPI and handling interrupts on the IRQ line.
