No you can't program it using UART
Use SWCLK
and SWDIO
to program. Remember to also power the board (VCC
). The programmer might also need ground detect, so connect that to GND
.
i tried swd interface. I have st-link programmer. But open ocd is not getting configured. I really got stuck there. I am very new to linux as well nrf series controllers.
you can use the IDAP-Link to program it. With IDAP-Link, you don't even need openocd to flash it. The provided IDAPnRFProg commandline tool can flash both softdevice and you firmware at the same time, and dfu too out of the box.
If you don't have the experience to get ocd working then get a JLink programmer which is designed to work out of the box and supported by Nordic and the recommended tools.
