nRF52840 internal ldo current

Hi Nordic,

I'd like to know what the maximal current draw from the internal REG0 is to power external components. The only thing I could find in the datasheet that says something about the current draw is that the external components should only draw 1mA maximum when the nRF52840 is in System OFF mode.

Hi Jroorda,

I assume you want to ask about when in SystemON mode. On the current engineering samples A, when in SystemON IDLE mode (none peripheral running) it's limited by PAN 140 here. So, max 1mA.

When in SystemON RUN mode, it's confined by the capacity of REG0 for total current of internal and external current. And it's about 50mA the max capacity. Depends on your application the max current for external circuit may vary. You may need to check what is the worst case of the internal current for your calculation.
