Connect to nearest peripheral device

Hi,

I have multiple devices set up in a simultaneous peripheral and central mode that exchange data on connection. As there may be multiple devices around, I want to make sure that they only connect to the nearest device. How do I filter out all the advertised names to only the nearest one (using RSSI)?

Yes, RSSI is the only thing you typically have. As you know it's pretty tricky but that's the game we are all playing...

I can't see any examples that seem to relate to sorting the list of found peripherals?

Sorry, I've misunderstood. There is no magic algorithm, you need to find the trade off between size of "address + RSSI + timestamp" cache, averaging and scanning duty cycle. Good luck!
