nRf52840 ext. pin Counter / Capture input

hi Dear Engineers!

Have a question about external TIMER counter input hw PIN. as Known, all the MCUs have a timer with external pin as a counter / capturer ability. how about nRf52840 ? have any int. timers this kind of feature to capture external signal directly to pin ?

if NO , how I can implement this with use EVEN/TASK/PPI the concept (capture the signal from common GPIO pin -> TIMER) ?

You should be able to do this by using the a GPIOTE channel, PPI and a TIMER.

Configure the GPIOTE to create an event every time the pin toggels/goes high/goes low. Connect this event to the task TASKS_COUNT in the TIMER.
