Using ANT with nrf51 dongle for beginner

Hi, I'd like to use nrf51 dongle to scan for ant/ant+ communication, but I can't understand how to do that... it doesn't work with antware sw and I don't know how to use it in a simple way...

What is it that you can't understand? Have you download the SDK and SoftDevice? Have you used the nRF51 for anything else? BLE? Have you gotten any other examples to work? For example Blinky?

First of all, in doc seems that I can use antware software but I can't (the dongle is not recognised)... Second, I'm new to the nrf51 platform and it's not clear to me, how to scan for ant packet to see if my transmitter is transmitting correctly or not. Could you maybe explain me what should I do to start a simple ant example?

I didn't see that you wanted to use ANTware, sorry. The nRF 51 Dongle is not an ANT PC dongle, it has to be something like an ANTUSB-m.

To run simple ANT example you have to flash the S210 SoftDevice, and program an ANT application, I recommend starting off with Broadcast examples.

Ok I flashed the S210 from the SDK 10, but when I look inside the ant broadcast example there is only a directory for PCA10028 (mine is 10031) and no precompiled hex... I'm a lot confused :/

The examples for PCA10028 should mostly work on PCA10031, but the pins to LEDs and buttons will not work correctly.
