Nordic Tech Tour target audience?

I'm an intern in my second year for a bachelor in computer engineering. I've been working with the nRF52832 development kit as part of my assignment. I was looking through Nordic's events when the tech tour caught my attention. What is the target audience for these seminars? Is it just business men that attend these events, or do students/hobbyists attend as well? Would this event be interesting for me with my minimal knowledge of BLE/nRF52? I wouldn't want to sit through 5 hours of PR talk. I hope someone could answer some of my questions. I have never been to an event like this before.

  • Last time (when they launched nRF52832) the seminar was quite interesting. I already developed on nRF51, so i knew something about BLE, SDK and chip. However, they showed new things like improved PPIs, new SAADC, DMAs, NFC and all new features. It was quite interesting - they showed the mechanisms, code snippets and whole working examples. I think it is worth to attend if you want to work with nRF52 chips. I think the event is more for the tech people, not the business mans (but they would enjoy it a bit too i think). You can speak with engineers (who work on chip development or softdevice development) and get some info which normally is not available in documentation :)

  • I could add an answer here, but I feel Wojtek covers it. It is mostly technical presentations given by engineers, for engineers. If you have some knowledge of BLE and our products you should get a lot out of it. Hope to see you there :)

  • Thanks for the answers. Sadly the event in Eindhoven is fully booked now. I guess I waited too long, as I could still register an hour ago.

  • Do you know if registration will open again if people cancel? Is there a waiting list I could be added to?
