s110 vs s130 for SDK11

i am total beginner to the nrf51822. i am going through the nan-36_v1

app note is using s110 but i can't find that soft device in sdk ? is there any changes has to be done if i followed the app note ?

which soft device is preferable for ble beacon ? and where can i find comparisons of soft devices ?

Hi,

The application note you are using is very old (written for SDK 5.2). I would recommend going through the tutorials found here on DevZone, to get familiar with BLE and other peripherals of the nRF5x chips.

I recommend using the latest softdevice and SDK version supported for your device. You can find which version that is in this compatibility matrix. For nRF51822, the latest SDK version is 12.3.0, and softdevice is S130 v2.0.1.
