nrf cloud firmware update

Hi!

I am playing with NRF cloud and Android phone gateway. I am not able to find out how to carry out firmware update over NRF cloud. Would you please shed some light? (I have buttonless DFU implementation and FW update works nicely towards my device with NRFconnect 2.0 or NRF Toolbox).

Hi Carl, I don't think DFU via Cloud is supported. You still need to carry the OTA DFU via nRFConnect normally.

Sorry, I don't have a clear timeline on when it's will be implemented. We are focusing on making the mobile gateway app. But that feature will come. I would suggest you to check with our RSM of your area. Let me know if you don't have the contact for RSM in Sweden.

Hi Carl,

Sorry for the slow response. Just got back from vacation. The DFU functionality will be in the 1.0 launch in September. It will be compatible with our buttonless DFU implementation.
