PPK Question

Hello,

We encounter the problem after upgraded the PPK software. There are different results when using PPK v1.0.0 and v1.1.0.

  1. Using PPK v1.0.0 image description

  2. Using PPK v1.1.0 image description

(The highlighted spikes are active by the timer timeout handler, and the others are active by the advertising.)

Which measurement is correct? and why?

Thanks.

  • Is the average current consumption different between the versions?

The release notes of the v1.1.0 firmware state

    • Improved software interface, with tabs for better usability and less space on screen.
    • New logging option for logging average data to a user defined, comma separated file.
    • Optional spike filtering added for a cleaner view of current consumption.
    • Better initialization routine, checking all necessary dependencies before starting the application.

Could you verify that the filtering feature is not enabled?

  • Seeing the current bumps along the bottom line, it seems like the same power source is not used. Is the "Power select" switch in the same positition at both times? The new software is not doing anything different (when spike filtering is off) between the versions for this measurement.

  • After I reboot my computer, the results of PPK v1.0.0 and PPK v1.1.0 are the same. I don't know why but the problem is gone. Thanks for your reply and I will close the question.
