nRF52832 Bare Chip programming

Hello, I want to program the bare nRF52832 MCU over SWDIO, SWCLK, GND and +3,3V Connections with a Segger J-Link programmer. Unfortunately the programmer could not connect to the target mcu. Does the nRF52832 MCU Need any other external components like capacitors, pullups/-downs, etc. to be programmable?

Yes, it needs at least some capacitors.

I could program a N52832 (BlueNor BC832) over the SWDIO and SWCLK lines, without any capacitors, using the JLink OB from the PCA10040. Are you sure your bare nRF52832 is powered up (at 3.3V) when you try to program it?

Just to be clear, it should not be necessary with any capacitors or resistors on the SWD lines. But you will of course need all the decoupling capacitors, etc. to make the nRF52 run.

The Long lines from the voltage source were the Problem. After adding decoupling capacitors near the VDD and GND pins of the programming adapter, my Segger J-Link was able to program the chip. Shows again, how importent proper supply stabilisation is. Thanks
