nRF24L01+,nRF24LU1+ receiving sensitivity

I am communicating between nRF24LU1 + and nRF24L01 +.

Are there any registers or methods for receiving sensitivity from 01+ or U1 +?

The data sheet tells us that the receiving sensitivity is better depending on the transmission speed, but we have not found a way to check the receiving sensitivity numerically.

Thank you.

  • Hello powerup

There are no registers in which sensitivity is registered. The sensitivity is a measure of the lowest signal power the receiver can work with (in a noise-less environment), while maintining a specific bit-error rate (BER), and is dependent on the radio hardware in the chip. In the nRF24 datasheets the BER used is 0.1%.

For the nRF24L01+ you can find the receiver sensitivity on page 16 of the product specification. For 2Mbps, 1Mbps and 250kbps you have -82dBm, -85dBm and -94 dBm respectively.

For the nRF24LU1+ you can find the sensitivities on page 20, they are the same as those stated above, however there is a footnote "e" stating that for certain frequencies at 250kbps, sensitivity is reduced.

    Best regards
