Ibecon for Access control application

Hi,

I have an idea to implement BLE based access control application. I considered nRF51822 based Peripheral device & iOS application for central device

Both the Central peripheral shall be paired when they come to very near to provide access control (distance will be tracking based on RSSI field & should be done in background).

I know that ibeacon is a non-connectable advertising device, but for my implementation I required with connectable mode. Could you please someone guide me, how I can configure Ibeacon as connectable device).

Hi

The beacon kit is tailored for development of beacons, therefore your scenario is perhaps a little bit outside of the scope of the Beacon kit. It would be more convenient for you to look at the nRF51 DK, nRF51822 DK or nRF51822 EK.

But, after all, the Beacon kit has nRF51822 inside so it is possible to program it with various things, see this thread for more information how to accomplish that
