How to use PCA10024 as MCP dongle

Hello -

I'm not having any success using my PCA10024 as a dongle for MCP. Here is what I'm doing so far....

  1. Remove PCA10024 jumper from P0.30-GND.
  2. Connect PCA10024 to Win7 PC - MBED (G:) enumerates.
  3. Copy MEFW_nRF51822_0.9.0_firmware_115K2.hex to G:\ - PCA10024 seems to program firmware (LED blinks several times).
  4. Disconnect PCA10024 from Win7 PC. - MBED (G:) de-enumerates.
  5. Jumper P0.30-GND.
  6. Connect PCA10024 to Win7 PC - MBED (G:) enumerates again.

I feel like at this point a new COM port should show up in Device Manager, but no new COM port is there.

Seems like I must be missing something - any advice?

Thanks, CR
