Disconnected and re-discover on iOS8 with two device paired

Hi,

I have paired two 51822 watches on iOS 8 on iPhone 6 plus. I found that when two watches moved far away and move back to the phone. The phone will not connect to either watches. It is 100% reproducible. The following are the steps.

1. Connect watch 1 from the app
2. Connect watch 2 from the app
3. Move the watch 1 and watch 2 away
4. The phone show grey bluetooth icon
5. Bring the watch 1 and watch 2 close to the phone
6. The phone will not connect watch 1 and watch 2.

I checked the sniffer for both watches are broadcasting. I tried both 10ms advertising interval and 1000ms advertising interval. It will not connect. I see some SCAN_REQ and SCAN_RSP in the sniffer. It looks the phone try to discover the watches but nothing happened. The problem on happened on iOS 8. Do you know why? Did apple change some background pair mechanism?

It seems like this is a bug related to iOS and that we have reported.

Hello Paul,

We have the same behavior with our Gablys. Apple gave us a note about some bluetooth fails. To be short, each time iOS is updated, the user needs to reset all network factory. That's works for some iphones, but it's not the case with iPhone 6 and 6+. Hope Apple will find a solution quickly, because our users guess this is our fault :-(
