Differences between nRF24L01p and nRF24L01p+PA+LNA

Hi! Is there any configuration differences between those 2 modules?? I understand from the data sheets that the pinout is just the same. I´m testing a PA+LNA on the same hardware and firmware that works with the nRF24L01p, and with the PA+LNA nothing happens. I mean, using a nRF24L01p as PTX (and PRX) it works flawlessly, but in the PRX there´s no visible response when using the PA+LNA as PTX. Thanks in advance!

What kind of modules are you using? Could it be that there's a pin to enable the TX chain on the PA on the module in order for it to work as a transmitter? If you use the PA module as a receiver, does it send ACKs back to the PTX?

Hi Asbjørn ! The problem is solved! As usual, it was several misconnections. Once corrected, the PA+LNA behaved correctly. But, by the way, do these modules need any extra config to increase power or something? Or they are just plug-and-forget replacements for the nRf24l01plus with only an external antenna? Thanx again!

I don't know what kind of modules you have or what they can do. There are a lot of different module implementations out there and we are not familiar with all of them. I would have to ask you to turn towards the module manufacturer in order to find out what kind of functionality is available on the modules you have.
