The meaning of clock tolerance in nRF51822

According to the Product Specification of nRF51822, the internal 16MHz RC clock has tolerance up to +-5%. I am wondering what the context of this 5% is. Is it the highest drift in a certain temperature range, and/or the highest batch-to-batch variation?

The tolerance is generally specified as the batch-to-batch maximum variation within the temperature range of the chip. So the largest variation you should see is +-5% from the nominal 16MHz frequency, regardless of the temperature, but as long as it is within the specified temperature range.
