nrfjprog command on linux gives ERROR: JLinkARM.dll load failed. Try again. If it keeps failing, please

Hi,

I am using nrfjprog package installed in folder /opt/Nrfjprog. I am getting the fallowing error.

nrfjprog --eraseall ERROR: JLinkARM.dll load failed. Try again. If it keeps failing, please ERROR: reinstall latest JLinkARM.dll from Segger webpage.

I am using using ubuntu 14.0.1

Hi,

nrfjprog assumes that the JLink linux installation is located in /opt/SEGGER/JLink, and it's only tested with ubuntu 14.04 AMD64 at this moment, however; it seems to work at my end in Ubuntu 15.10 x86-64.

Is your SEGGER installation located in the correct folder and up to date?

yes, its located in /opt/ folder. yes am using 32 bit software. Its workign when i updated to 64 bit software.

This is one of the restrictions at this moment, unfortunately. I'll give feedback to the nrfjprog team to provide x86 packages as well.

/opt/SEGGER/JLink is located OK

i'm using Ubuntu 16.04 64x ... i'll keep you updated in case i solve the problem

Hi,

If you're updating to a newer version: Have you tried removing the segger and nrfjprog package, then installing the newer ones?

If it still is not working, could you post the output of "strace nrfjprog --version" ?
