nRF8002 Output pins accessed from iPhone/Android

I am building a new PCB board for a prototype. It will be used for proximity. It will blink on low battery. It also has a piezo speaker attached to a pin as well. My question is this. Can I have a button in the app call the speaker to buzz or a button to call the LED to light up? Or is this completely done internally from the on-board MCU and not accessible. If you have some documentation on the implementation that would be also helpful.

On the subject, from other BLE devices I have used, can you track in feet how (estimate) far the nRF8002 circuit is on your phone?

Hi,

You can trigger a buzzer or LED if you configure the Proximity - Immediate Alert characteristic and writes to this from the Phone. I would recommend downloading nRFgo studio to take a closer look at the possible configurations. The nRF8002 is were simple to use, so it might not suite all applications. If you need more advanced functions consider using the nRF51 series or the nRF8001 connectivity chip.

Thank you for your response. My question is though. Can I use a button from an application to trigger the LEDs or buzzer? If I want to find the location of the chip, can I call an action from my phone to find it?
