ARM DS-5 CS development tools for NRF51822

Can I use ARM DS-5 CS (ds.arm.com/.../) + JLink for nrf51822 development?

No. we only support Keil, IAR and GCC at the moment. There are no plans to support DS-5

I just browse the link you provide. It seems to be Eclipse based so it should work with GCC.

DS5 is for ARM's "Application" processors (Cortex-A) - not for microcontrollers (Cortex-M).

DS-5 supports all ARM cores (link; click "Embedded processors"):

"ARM DS-5 Development Studio supports all processors based on the ARM architecture, ranging from small microcontrollers to multicore 64-bit application processors."

I have successfully used DS-5 with the armclang compiler. It takes some work but it is possible.
