Master Emulator Server Feature not working

Hi,

i want to test the Server feature of the Master Control Panel 3.10.0 together with a nrf51 Dongle. By pressing start under File->Server setup the server starts, but i can't get any advertisement on any devices. I tried the same under IronPython with a little script with the same result.

What could that be? Thanks!

PS: Is there a pure Python way to control the nrf dongel

The Master Control Panel and Master Emulator operate as Master (Central) only. This means that you will not be able to start advertising from them or make them behave as Slave/Peripheral.

If you want a pure python way to control the dpngle you can check out pc-ble-driver-py repo on github.

Hi, thanks for the answer. Is there a way of creating a peripheral device using Nordic APIs? Would be really great! Thanks!

The pc-ble-driver-py library I mentioned does support both central and peripheral roles. If you want a visual tool like Master Control Panel you can try out nRF Connect.
