Error: Error: Failed to unpack toolchain bundle

Hey

I am trying to install nrf connect sdk 2.4.0

i am running ubuntu 22.04.

I get the following error when i try to install the sdk:

Caused by: 0: failed to unpack /media/peter/data/code/ncs/tmp/.tmpn4TLC1/var/lib/dpkg/info/libsasl2-modules-db:amd64.md5sums 1: failed to unpack var/lib/dpkg/info/libsasl2-modules-db:amd64.md5sums into /media/peter/data/code/ncs/tmp/.tmpn4TLC1/var/lib/dpkg/info/libsasl2-modules-db:amd64.md5sums 2: Invalid argument (os error 22)

Can you please help me?

It works if i install it to ~/ncs

why cant i install it to a different partition on my disk?

Have you installed before? Where are you trying to install it to?

yes it have been installed before but long time ago. I think i installed it to ~/ncs back then due to the same reason

Hi Peter,

Did you do a manual installation or the automatic installation?  would recommend you to try the automatic installer in the Toolchain Manager.

It has been installed automatically via the toolchain manager as see in the screenshot in my original post
