Thingy53 keeps disconnecting

Hi,

I've got my Thingy:53 and started testing Edge Impulse. The very first thing I noticed was that the Thingy:53 kept disconnecting after connecting. A few times it was able to maintain the connection for up to 40 seconds, but usually, it only held for around 3-5 seconds before disconnecting with a message: "The connection has timed out unexpectedly."

I updated the firmware using the following app: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1596718053 (but it did not help). I also tried updating the firmware manually using nrf5340DK, following the instructions at https://docs.edgeimpulse.com/docs/development-platforms/officially-supported-mcu-targets/nordic-semi-thingy53 (but this did not resolve the issue either).

I attempted to use the nRF Edge Impulse iOS app, the nRF Connect iOS app, and the nRF Edge Impulse Mac OS app, but all three exhibited the same disconnection problem.

Testing devices:

  • iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 17
  • iPhone SE with iOS 16.7 Beta
  • MacBook Pro with Mac OS 13.6

Have you encountered similar issues, or perhaps I am overlooking something? I would greatly appreciate your assistance!
