What is the recommended circuit to stop the output in nPM1100/nPM1300?

As the title indicates I would like to know the recommended circuit to stop the output with nPM1100/1300.

Generally, power control by a power switch is disconnected by a switch at the rear of the battery as shown in the attached figure. The DC/DC converter will not work.

However, nPM1100/nPM1300 is a battery charger and DC/DC converter in one, so such a circuit cannot be realized.

Of course, the battery cannot be disconnected. That would make it impossible to charge the battery.

Then, the only way is to put a switch in the rear of the DC/DC converter, but that would keep the DC/DC converter running.

Please let me know if there is a way to solve this issue.

Entering ship mode would disable any ongoing charging, connecting to a USB power source to charge would force the PMIC to exit ship mode and not reenter it when the power source is disconnected.
